Some years ago, the Parish Council agreed that plots could be extended from their original size. Many plots have already been extended but if you're not sure about your plot, look at how it lines up with its neighbours.

 

Everybody has to extend the same two sides. The shorter side at the top of your plot (opposite your shed) can be extended by 750mm. The longer side by 500mm. This may make it  a bit narrow for your neighbour to get in and out of their shed so you may not want to dig right to the end
